Cedarville 2008.....

Cedarville 2008-the 4th Annual (1st for Brian & I).... Each year our friends go up the U.P. to spend the weekend together..playing Bochi Ball, boating, campfires...you name it! It is all about being together and relaxing! Here are some pics:
Mike's grandparents are nice enough to have all 14 of us stay at their cottage in Cedarville-Anna, Jason and Skippy came over for the night to visit too!!

Brian even ventured into Lake Huron (brrrr!!) for a swim-but not with out Tricia & Deans noodle...Brian "accidentally" broke it but seems more practical at water wings anyway..it was funny!

And then tubing.....the funniest story from the weekend....ask us about it :)

A cute picture of the girls and Mackenzie & I below...
The moon (which looks really small here) was really big and it was the perfect opportunity to get some funny pics around the campfire..this is me "flicking" the moon.
Brian & I....what a great weekend!!!

Happy 2nd Anniversary to US........

Happy 2nd Anniversary to us!! Brian & I celebrated early by driving down to Frankfort (on Lake Michigan) and going to the restaurant Fusion.
After we went to the Cherry Bowl Drive-in! It has been in operation since 1955!
It was a double feature but we only stayed for the movie, Wall-E. It was great!
Then yesterday for our "real" anniversary, August 12th, we made a yummy dinner & dessert, drank some champagne and watched the Olympics!
It has been a GREAT 2 years! And we would do it all over again in a heart beat! Any one up for another big party??!! I love you Brian!

Happy, Happy Week.....

So this week in August is always a happy happy week! Not only is it our anniversary BUT..it is also my Dad's birthday and MY birthday(my dad's is the day before mine)!!! So needless to say, there is a lot of cake to be eaten and celebrating to do!!
So we did just that!! We went out to my parents for dinner to deep fry a turkey! Yum! Brian and I are above with Grandma McClatchey-she is 93!! And then Brian and I with my Dad...Happy Birthday Dad!!
And here we are the 2 August Birthdays!

Camping on S. Manitou Island...

This past weekend Brian and I were each toasting our friends during Bachelorette & Bachelor parties. Brian went off to celebrate with our friend Jeremy in Grand Haven, who is marrying Libby in September! And I went to S. Manitou Island to go camping with a bunch of girlfriends to celebrate Laura's upcoming wedding to Mike in 3 weeks!
We had to to an hour ferry ride over to S. Manitou Island and then once we were there had to hike a little less than a mile to our camp site with all our gear.
It is a really pretty island to visit even just for the day or camp overnight.
This is us in front of the lighthouse on the island. Spent the day on the beach and hiking around the island.
And then at night we spent toasting Laura and other shinanigans! It was a great trip! And luckily I escaped poison ivy free! Brian had a great trip too, enjoying all that Grand Haven and the Coast Guard festival had to offer! http://www.coastguardfest.org

MSU vs. UofM Polo Match....

On Friday we ventured out to the Horse Show by the Bay pavilion where they were hosting a benefit for the Michigan and MSU polos teams and they played an exhibition match. It ended in a tie! We were cheering for MSU..obviously!
It was very interesting to learn about the sport of polo.
And all the girls dressed the part! Check out our hats!!
