Morton Arboretum...

Brian and I visited Morton Arboretum during our stay in Chicago. It is a beautiful "park" that was donated and started by the Morton family (the salt).

It made us feel like we were back at home rather than suburban Chicago. There were acres and acres of lush forest, meadows, lakes, flowers and art (they had a cool living art exhibit going on). One of the best parts was the children's garden..which we will have to go back to when Isabelle is a little older to enjoy it.

It was a great way to spend a warm & sunny morning.

Mother's Day 2011...

Mother's Day 2011...
My first mother's day! It was so special...most importantly because I spent it with my little family. It is hard to imagine my life before Isabelle came into our lives..she has brought Brian & I so much joy! Some days I wonder if my heart is going to burst because of the love I feel for her.

Brian, Isabelle and I started the day with breakfast in bed then went to a park close by and enjoyed the beautiful Chicago day!
